This phone does operate on the 2100Mhz frequency
All phones sold by 3 do operate the 2100Mhz frequency just like Telstra only sells those that can operate on the 850Mhz frequency. In a number of cases those that operate on 850Mhz can operate the 2100Mhz frequency (like my Nokia 6120 Classic).
It's just more or less a matter of knowing what your phone can do once your outside the main 3 mobile zone!
