However the catch from what I hear is, to get all 3G coverage (Telstra and 3 mobile) you have to have a phone that can use the NextG Frequency of 850Mhz and the 2100Mhz frequency used by 3. Otherwise you'll just head back to Telstra's 2G network which is how it is now.
This phone does operate on the 2100Mhz frequency :)

All phones sold by 3 do operate the 2100Mhz frequency just like Telstra only sells those that can operate on the 850Mhz frequency. In a number of cases those that operate on 850Mhz can operate the 2100Mhz frequency (like my Nokia 6120 Classic).

It's just more or less a matter of knowing what your phone can do once your outside the main 3 mobile zone!

Well I went out and bought it today (after it being sold out for over 3 weeks) and first impressions are great. The device is very finger friendly and fast as well. Well worth the price tag :D
