Hi,
I am not computer literate but here goes - after installing new messenger and clicking in-box after signing in find that I am actually in wifes in-box.Not sure what to do as every time I try to get to my messages am back in hers.Hope you understand me.
Dont really want to go to restore point but will do as been trying to sort this problem  all afternoon - son works in IT but even he is not sure whats happening.

Click the 'sign out' link at the top right hand corner of the windows live hotmail page (in the web browser) and then click the inbox button in windows live messenger and it will take you to your own inbox

Yes understand that just seems long winded way to get in as have done this earlier but despite asking that pw etc be saved I have to enter p.w.  each time. The wife uses this comp she signs in clicks on her messages and gets mine instead.Think i will revert back to old method of messenger as it worked fine.

This is nothing to do with the new messenger

Just make sure that when you log into hotmail you don't tell it to keep you signed in.....that way it will ask you to sign in each time you click the 'inbox' button on WLM

That used to happen with me, it can be avoided by logging out of the hotmail page every time before closing it.
