I am runing Vista Ultimate x64bit
all of a sudden my WLM 11 stopped working, this is what i have done.

1) Uninstall with Revo then reinstall again "still fail"

2) Reinstall C++ (x64) "still fail"

3) run Windows Installer cleanup utility to uninstall then reinstall "still fail"

This is what i got from the error log :-

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active. Conflicting components are:. Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.4148_none_5090ab56bcba71c2.manifest. Component 2: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.vc90.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.1_none_e163563597edeada.manifest.

I manage to fully uninstall WLM 2011 & now i am getting error 0x80070643 when i install WLM 2011- the error says that "it looks like another program is preventing the installer from working" - what program is that?

drama goes on i manage to install older version of MSN 2009.....it install fine but i can login i get error 8000ffff : service unavalable

anyone can help?
