Releasing my next skin, Metro.
It incorporates many hints from Microsoft's own Metro schemes, like the one found on its Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system. It currently comes with three colours -- Blue, Grey, and Black --
and the contact list allows for full colorization. It's minimal and simplistic, which is great on small or low-contrast screens, yet at the same time offers a multitude of options to choose from. Just remember: try winning some coffee!
It's probably by far the most time I spent working on a skin (particularly how annoying it is to skin WLM 2011)...I even redid the contact list 4 times from scratch... but I have to say, I really like it myself, and some of my friends requested for it while I was working on it during class.
Some features include:
- a variety of PSM locations to choose from
- pick from 3 standard colours, or choose your own
- compact and simple-perfect for netbooks
- NEW: conversation taskbar can be hidden--via the gripper or the button
- NEW: change the font of Messenger (not stupid looking ones, but sexy fonts)
- a chance to win 'free coffee'
This isn't the final version yet, so stay tuned.

Anyways, it's in a usable state now, but it's missing a proper option panel
, and some 'features' break when things are sized properly. One feature I would like to mention is the SuperButton, which merges all the buttons and icons into one compact menu. Everything works now, and the SuperButton has been removed because I found a better way
.
Customization of some things will be quite exhaustive for some things, but yet limited in others to maintain the aesthetic appeal.
Scenes, for instance, I have (tentatively) hid altogether, as those are actually quite annoying to skin around. EDIT: Scenes can be turned on or off.
I'll be posting screenshots as time goes on, depending how much time I have to skin, seeing I should be study for exams right now
Constructive feedback is requested!
