When WDZ upgrades these forums to RC2, you'll have a nice [attachment] tag that will be replaced by the url of the attachment, so people will be able to put [img][attachment][/img] and there won't be any need to edit.
Also, when people edits to do that now, they edit just before posting, and you can see the date & time of that, so you can know if you have read the post before/after the edit was done.
