A good thing is to go to your Control Panel ("Start" -> "Contol Panel") and then go to "Add/Remove Programs". In there you can remove programs you don't use anymore. If you are not sure what some programs do then don't remove them without getting more info. Some programs are needed for your PC to work right. It's best to always un-install programs first instead of manually removing files.

But if the files still stay there, look at WDZ's link and Chris' post, but once again be very carefull in deleting files you are not sure about.
