The handwriting plugins requires a lot of knowledge in Windows programming. And the multi-msm is not a plugin. It's just a program that modifies messenger. It's easier to do, but you have to know what you have to modify.

http://www.msgplus.net/help_plugins.php and download the documentation from there. If you want to create an addon for messenger, mmm...well, that's a more complex thing, you'll need the messenger api (search these forums to find it).
