I was able to eliminate the reset 'bug' by exiting MSN Messenger before restarting my computer or turning it off. Not really a bug, probably more my computer forcing MSG Plus! to quit, thus not saving settings.
As for stealing focus.. I guess I will have to wait till the beta becomes public. Thanks for your help.
