Patchou, I have tried to use Plus!'s auto update feature several times to update, but it does not download anything.  I then downloaded the latest installer and now I get an I/O error after about 20% progress.  So I uninstalled Plus!, rebooted, and attempted the installation again with the same bad luck (yes I ran the installer with messenger running and not running).  Finally, I saw the Messenger Plus! folder in Program Files so I deleted it--which just caused the folder and all its contents to stick to my Recycle Bin (somehow?) where they cannot be deleted.  At this point I am beginning to get Very Annoyed, I mean, I have a Recycle Bin I can't empty and even worse I have the boring messenger that won't accept Plus!.  I realize something in my regestry is doing this, but I also realize that if I try to fix those keys myself again it would be even worse than the first time--but I shall spare you the details.
