Spyware or viruses infecting your system probably. There is no way that the transparency effect of Plus! should slow down your computer that much. I have an ATI Radeon 9000, P3m 1.3 GHz processor and 256mb of RAM and it's fine. Either that, or there might be something conflicting with the transparency effect, but I don't know what would
