I'm not sure, but it might be an issue with the offical beta as a new public beta was released today 7.0.0429 :) (It's been known to happen after a new release of Plus). So It might just be a compatability issue. Not too sure though....someone else Like Patchou may need to check it out.

Also note the updated post to answer your question about renaming the contacts :)
