How fast does your computer boot up?

I aint kidding. Its seriously ture. Dunno why but it is. I think it is cause my hd is empty thats why

Mine's about that, only about 5 seconds slower on start-up. My shutdown from login to power off is similar to yours (haven't timed it recently)

XP Pro, 240 MB of RAM, 2.4Ghz, 40 GB with 16 GB free (on a laptop)
