No, you cannot veiw the sounds on the server without knowing the sound code number thing. I believe SoundPacks know these numbers, so they know what to download. But you cannot search the servers or veiw them yourself, because there are thousands, if not millions of sounds on there. Although, this is a highly requested feature, so I think Patchou might be concidering it. Of course, I could be very wrong, so feel free to correct me.
