Did you try to close (not just sign out) and open msn again?
Did you try to restart your computer?
Did you try "repairing" msn by going to: Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> MSN Messenger -> Change -> Repair
YouTube closed-captions ripper (also allows you to download videos!)
