Just out of curiosity, how exactly do you unplug an IDE cable from the back of a drive or from a motherboard? Is there a "correct" way to do it? Most cables I've seen have absolutely no handles or grips or anything to help you pull it out. The only thing you can get a decent grip on is the ribbon cable itself, and I'm afraid that pulling on that could do some damage to the tiny wires inside.

To make things even more difficult, many IDE connections are in tight spaces where there's not a lot of room to move your hands.
I'm not much of a hardware person, so I was hoping someone with more experience could provide some insight...
