It would be a mistake to do this, because i'm pretty sure the coversion also formats your HDD, and doing that simply for a shared folders feature would be a big mistake! As kyryptonate posted earlier, it is only a temporary thing.
Converting doesn't format your HD. At least not here I used Partition Magic 7.0 for the trick.
