lol good to hear, XHTML is really no different from html, but is a better way to code.

I suggest this doctype for you

code:
!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

And use W3 to validate it

Also try my design, it is simple and you will learn all about tables from it

Practice on different things is the way forward
