ok
so i'll change all of the text formatting in my website
and then sort that (deleting html - replace with CSS
)
and i did set the "alt=" " " as text anyway
and the 504kb image is the background and i want a fade much like that one and the only way to do it that i can think of is to set an image like that - and it has to be big to cover all of the area that the website takes up.
are there any other ways i can get a similar fade without that image?

i think...i think... i think i've sorted it
apart from a few errors (11) which i cant see how to fix i think it's ok
i am now using CSS instead of HTML for the text
and i have alt: "" tags
and DOCTYPE
and META tags
i think its ok
