No hes not pressing the incorrect button hes pressing it too early. F8 on an Asus motherboard is the hotkey to select which drive you wish to boot from.
First thing you want to do is go into your BIOS tapping F1 or Delete (should say at the bottom). From here you want to go to Boot > Then something that says Boot Settings Configuration > Set Full Screen Logo to Disabled. (It may not be the same version so look in the BIOS for Full Screen Logo and disable it.) Please Escape ; Then go to Exit and save settings and exit.
This will remove the asus logo and show you post. If you get any errors reply with them. Alternatly you can press Escape at the logo to remove it temporarily.

Ok this is a totally seperate error message. Do you know if you have an NTFS partition on your computer or is the main drive where Windows is installed Fat32?
