Nope, data is a very expensive item, companies pay big money for it.
Personal data must:
- Be processed fairly and lawfully
- Be obtained for the specification and lawful purposes
- Be relative for its purpose
- Be accurate and up-to-date
- Not be kept longer than necessary
- Be processed within the rights of the data subjects
- Be kept secure against loss, damage and unauthorised and unlawful processing
- Not be transferred outside Europe
The individual can:
- Be given a copy of the data held
- Have the data deleted or blocked if proven in accurate
