O.P. RE: windows live messenger setup error code 1603

when it says that, exactly when do I know that it's finished?... do I get a confirmation message? because I just went ahead and did the 3rd step and it's still not working ;_;
and it appears that it's for messenger 6.0 but I wouldn't think it would matter... but do you know for sure?
