Hello Dava. It is very unlikely Messenger Plus! is the problem as it does not do anything to the webcam feature. Are you using any other extensions? Maybe you should try not using Plus! and see if the problem continues.
The more information you can provide the better. Your Messenger build and Messenger Plus! build would really help
