I got 5 Ubuntu discs a while ago to test it out and share it (like it said to
). I ran it off the CD as I didn't wanna install it reinstall windows to make it a dual boot machine. The startup time is the longest of any distro I've ever used! Now I know that it's slower running from a CD, but I used Knoppix in exactly the same way and with much better results.
I don't see people paying for discs when other distros are still available for free, especially seeing as Ubuntu doesn't seem to be as popular as others right now
