Just checked, don't have this issue

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
Windows Live Messenger 8.01.0068 (8.1 beta)
Messenger Plus! Live 4.10 beta
Internet Explorer 7 Final

I can't use Ctrl+Scroll in the log viewer BTW (just like hairyhermitcrab said too). Clicking the control first doesn't help. Ctrl+Scroll in IE7 itself works fine.

Finish the problem
