OR, you just use the existing forum search for yourself to make sure that you're not posting a redundant thread. Searching for a pre-existing post is a very common concept in most forums, and I don't think it's too much to ask for a poster to go through this minimal trouble of using the regular forum search.

Anyway, this is not the issue here. The issue is dealing effectively with the redundancy that occurs (and no forum is "perfect", redundancy does occur).
