I just took a look at http://www.alicebot.org/aiml.html and it seems interesting. It's an open standard for chat robots in general... turning it in a Plus! scripts it could become a easy way to build your own bot.
Yes i'm using an Autotalker but it's not good enough to make a bot of..
But it would be much better with aiml
And there's already finished aiml files you can download for free
So i would be really thankful is someone made a script that could load aiml files
then you also could have a multilangual bot
