If the contact window isn't minimised (restored), then you should have it in the background of the 3d flip.
If its minimised, then it won't show up at all. Either way, its not part of the 3d flip, just in the background.
You can blame the lack of the dwm api on the part of Microsoft for that
(and yes it not showing up in the 3d flip is a feature, not a bug. Earlier a blank space was visible, this doesn't happen now since its totally removed from the flip and just placed in the background
)
