RE: Live Messenger Content Location in PC

%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\<emailaddy>\ObjectStore
Vista: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Messenger\<emailaddy>\ObjectStore\
You will find all content in subfolders. Folder names are pretty clear as to what is where except for regular display pictures, these are located in UserTile.
Copy the DT2 files elsewhere then rename them in your new folder to .png*

*Edit: unfortunately this method does not work for dynamic content
