Yes, but still, it is not Debian. You can, of course, access Ubuntu packages from Debian and vice versa, but Debian has a much neater and more complete base system, and stricter package QC [IIRC].

Curious. There's no point in having a swappable bay if you can only have the one thing in there. I've a T20, and the DVD-ROM works fine.
