O.P. Problem with LCD screen and VGAs
Hello there,

So I'm facing some very odd problem.

I took my friend's computer to my home.. it was working properly before he handed it to me. I reached home, plugged the LCD screen VGA cable into the built in VGA card port (Which he was using) and i turned on the PC but there was no ouput on the screen, it kept trying to detect any output to it. SO i decided to try plugging the cable into his other VGA card port (Some Gforce i dont remember).. the same thing happened.

I also got some message on the screen mentioning "check data cable"

Anyway, i checked the screen setting and toggled between its settings, untill i reached one which i started to see output on the screen, however once it finishes windows XP loading screen, the old issue takes place again.
(ex. From BIOS setup screen till windows loading screen all is fine).

So i decided to try safemode, it worked on safemode, so then i tried to use Enable VGA mode, it worked but with a bad resolution and once i try to change the resolution from windows xp properties panel, i return back to the old issue.

I thought it might be a problem between my screen and his computer... but now it is doing the same even for him.

What is causing this?
