I have my netbook on 1024x786 and that's a 8.9" screen.

2) Using a skin is what enables you to hide all the ads, it takes literally a couple of minutes (i made myself a skin last night to 'minimalise' messenger (remove ads, links, unnecessary things, etc) while i work on my proper skin)
Ok, If it's that easy I'll read stuff about skinning and see what I can do. :P
