YES. FIRST LEARN NOT TO TYPE IN ALL CAPITALS. IT'S JUST LIKE YELLING AND IT'S VERY ANNOYING!

Second, just click their names, press F2 and type a nickname in. It could be their email or you could just type their display name again and it'll never change. You have to do this for every contact but it works perfectly.
