Messenger Plus! can only gather info on your contacts when you are online too.
There is no magic hidden 'spy-on-my-contacts-thingie' here.
Messenger Plus! simply logs everything you see yourself. But, ofcourse in order to do that, you must be online. It can not log things if you are not online.
