WLM 2009 has been out for a while and has been a required upgrade, so by 'upgraded' do you mean the leaked WLM 2010? If so, you're bound to get problems and you won't receive support for it.
The Windows Live team can only tell you what we're telling you here. I don't believe it's a bug in the program and I don't believe you've tried enough to fix it.
According to
this removing AVG Ani-Virus and/or
nVidia Forceware Access Manager can fix the problem, so if you have either you need to do so.
Also try:
- Remove WLM with
ZapMessenger.
- Do a complete
clean install.
If none of the above works, its most likely not Messenger's fault, but your computer. Could be conflicting software, etc.
