Why is there a server "middleman"? I assume it's to help facilitate the transfer of sounds with people that have crappy connections, would I be correct? If so, then would it possibly be beneficial to have the option of switching between server and local distribution?
It could be a performance boost for those of us with good broadband connections while helping to take stress off the official server. Just a few thoughts.
