   Messenger Plus 2 (free public beta) (MSN) is a nice addition to MSN Messenger, which is heavy on advanced features but lacks such basics as simple text formatting. Messenger Plus! adds such abilities as message logging and extra "away" message options.
   We especially like the Boss command, which instantly minimizes all Messenger windows to a single old-style My Computer system tray icon. Unfortunately, the first time you use the command, nothing minimizes, and a box pops up to confirm that you want to use it. After that, it works fine. (Patchou, www.msgplus.net. )
