O.P. RE: Continuous Logging
Sry for the late reply.

Ok, I'll try to explain the whole thing.

My laptop has 3 partitions on 60GB harddrive.
C for system and programs
D for documents, logs, webserver, desingworks
E for media- video and audio. (disregard this one)

On D i store all my MSN Messenger received files, Messenger Plus logs. It stores shatlogs on monthly basis on catalogues by user email address as file name.

I fdisk my C drive every month, but not regulary (i.e. every 5th of each month) but as I feel the "need" to do so.
Lets say, that today i fdisk my C drive again. Get the system back from Ghost file. So everything is as should and ready to "shoot".

Now i log into messenger (as a remark lets assume that i already have a chatlog [this was before i fdisk'd my machine] with user emailaddress someone@hotmail.com. chatlog is around 200Kb, lets assume i talk with the person every day).
Now im logged in, and i say to the person (someone@hotmail.com) "Hi".
Now, heres the problem - messenger plus clears the previous contents of the file (the 200Kb file) and replaces the whole content of the file as "Hi".

Is my explaination understandable?

thanks.
