RE: Probs With Messenger Plus 3 Staying Installed
seems like there is a problem with ur registry, when u reboot check the following

if the folder
C:/Program Files/Messenger Plus! 3/msgplus.exe
exists.

and also if the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2
exists. (to open this, go to start>run>and type "regedit" (without the quotes))

another solution:

Messenger Plus! is using a technology that requires any software using the same technology to behave correctly so that all the softwares can work properly together. This technology is called Global Hooking. If, after you reboot your computer, you don't see Plus! in your contact list window, try to close and restart Messenger. If the problem is not fixed, it probably means that a program installed on your computer is causing some interferences. This can be your Anti-Virus, your display drivers or any other software monitoring your actions. Messenger Plus! has a built-in protection to help fix this problem: if the Plus! menu isn't displayed in Messenger, a special window will show-up that will help you fix the problem.
