O.P. aMSN logging conversations??

how???

maybe im just being stupid as usual but how can i log my conversations with this programme?

i went to preferences and logging and it has a place where i can tick if i want them logged or so i should be able to!!

but its like *-)

shadowed out and i cant click nothing on that particular topic logging???
any ideas??
