hmm.. i got it fixed.. i love XP...

What i did was go to control pannel then add hardware.. then i looked for my drive but it was with a !. which means its corrupted or missing.. so then i went to troubleshoot which helped me step by step to uninstall and reinstall :-d now it works yay
