All Display Pictures and Custom Emoticons you receive are saved on your computer. They are not saved as image files but as *.bin files in some "Temporary Internet Files" Sub-folders.

Actually, as CookieRevised said in one of those threads (or both), you can't just search for *.bin files in the TIF folder, as the actual filenames for the DP/CE files in that folder are "hidden".
But if you look at the file
tipe type, it shows it's Binary (*.BIN) and you can look at the attributes, where it says "Cache Name".
