The "Contact List Clean-up" window only shows the amount of days because there isn't that much space in that window to show it all. But the "Contact Information" window (right-click on a name > choose

Contact Information) will always show the accurate time up to the minutes.

Indeed. Messenger Plus! can only see contact coming online and chats when you are signed in to the Messenger where you installed Plus! on.
BTW: "Last Chat" is when you last opened a conversation window with this person. So Plus! will still see it as a conversation when you open a chat window and don't say anything.
