    No its not, and who said you need to use the bios? In fact, what else can you overclock besides your gpu maybe? But you are right about one thing, that proc ain't going to overclock too happily.

Anyway, If you're going to overclock that old thing, and I wouldn't if I were you, you should do it slowly (1 or 2 mhz at a time) and really stress test it after each change. Also, the memory will also have a speed in mhz (usually faster than the processor's) and by increasing the processor's mhz, you'll also cause the memory's mhz to rise for compensation. However, the memory should never go above what it was origionally set for, since that will probably cause you more problems. What you'd have to do while ajusting the processor's speed is to change the memory ratio to something lower (therefore slowing it down below the processor's speed)
