Everybody knows Patchou is working on Plus!Live since a long time, of course this goes together with early testing
Anyways, hints that alpha testing was begun a while back has been given in many threads just like this one.
(and there comes that point again of: why don't people search before making threads? There are many threads about these very same beta questions. 
If people actually keep stuff in the same thread and don't go making new threads about the same thing all the time such info wouldn't be "lost" between all the cross-posting and similar threads... )
