I know to type it as such:

/sound #????????????????

But my custom sounds have names not id tag#'s {Perhaps Patch could include this in an upgrade?}
You can send custom sounds with the name (or part of the name) as parameter too.

See official help pages > commands and tags.

/sdoh You shine as brilliantly as a 2 watt bulb...

No. Custom sounds and the build-in sounds work in a different way. For custom sounds the current lines shown in a conversation need to be there in order for Plus! to reconize them as a custom sound. So changing those lines will actually 'corrupt' the proper workings of custom sounds.

What you can do however is sending the alternative text before or after you send the custom sound. This can be combined in a quicktext for example.

See "CookieRevised's reply to Integrated Sound Creator" for details.

/sound #58C62DEFF4ED

And a custom Sound with text like this:
/sound #58C62DEFF4ED I can feel any way I want...

But the latter doesn't send a sound or text...
It doesn't work because the latter is not the proper syntax for sending a custom sound; it is also not documented like that in the official help pages > commands and tags.
