have you gone to prefs > script > selected the script and clicked remove?
if didnt work, try disabling first (uncheck and then click apply) and then try to delete
if didnt work, when its disabled, go to the folder where MP!L is installed, into the scripts folder and delete the script
also if you want gradients:

will give you the word test in a gradient from red to blue
and you can use [a][/a] tags for making the background of the text a solid color or a gradient
