RE: 24" Widescreen monitor
At another website/forum I visit, I hear that the Dell 24 inch monitors are really good.
Right now, I own a smaller BenQ and they have always been great monitors.
I don't know if they come in different resolutions, but if they do, then get one that's at least 1920x1080 (will probably be 1920x1200) because then you can view full HD 1080p content on it at full resolution.
