About the "add the original name after the custom nickname" thing, Patchou has said some time ago (read: about one year ago) that he'd wait and see if Microsoft was going to extend/improve their "quick name" feature. If they wouldn't do it, he'd try to re-implement his custom nickname feature... although, he nor Microsoft has done anything.
