Yes there is, for the short-run, however. The technology is known as "Chat-Only Nickname," MessengerDiscovery has such a feature. When StuffPlug 3 was alive, it did have such a feature, as well. However, sadly, TheBlasphemer had decided to halt the project for an alternative application (I am not going to leak anymore information... )
