"You have 2 invitations" annoying message/WLM2009

O.P. "You have 2 invitations" annoying message/WLM2009

When I log in WLM2009 I keep getting a message as shown below:

However, when I click on it the Hotmail website opens up showing that I have no invitations at all as shown below:

Is this a bug? How can I get rid of this message? Thanks
